Links Page
This is more-or-less just my old links page shamelessly transcribed, but there you go.This page is not finished. In many ways, it never will be. If you know of, or own (or both) a website you think should be on the list, please tell me somehow.
People I Know
My youngest brother, Mark, has a blog called The World Is Lovely. Why? You might well ask. It’s less likely that I’ll tell you.
Paul, the neglected middle child, runs 24 Handy Diagrams, which does more or less exactly what it would say on the tin, were it to be packaged in a suitable tin. It simplifies the plot of 24 into diagram form. More amusing and about as geeky as it sounds. This site was taken down when Take 24 failed to pay their server bills, but here are the links in case either comes back.
Friz, who in fact I don’t know at all, runs Planet Arse, Planet Arse (a different version), Pete Is A Pogo Stick, and whatever other project he thinks he’s going to be able to keep up with. Generally only one updates at a time. Currently, Channel Flip, I’m Sy And This Happened and Space Wars In Space. And probably some other stuff. That man badly needs a hub website.
Ben wrotes and drews Fried, when that was going, as did Euan. Ben also runs Dream 17, and Euan also writes and draws Rooms. Paul (a different one) writes and draws Boot Camp, a comic about Worms. In common with the other Paul, this is more amusing and about as geeky as it sounds. The four of us now work on Jump Leads with JjAR.
Websites I Frequent
I moderate the Team17 Forum because I have too much free time. Dave Gorman’s Forum also gets a lot of hits from me. I also post often on the Keenspace and Something Awful forums. You might also catch me on the xkcd boards, the Bad Science forum, or commenting on blogs.
Websites That Link Here
Dalek Links gets me a crazy amount of hits. Wikipedia carries a link or two to Apathy. GMail appears on my referrals list, presumably because the link is in my signature and people have clicked it. Dalek Games, Info , movies has linked to, and apparently named, the Dalek Game.
Also recently 419.bittenus.com added a link here, which was nice, and GiantKetchup.com linked here in passing a while ago and at least one person clicked on it. Also I got scary amounts of traffic when I was in the b3ta newsletter.
Related Links
Lastly, some links to websites directly relating to this one:
NearlyFreeSpeech.NET, who host this website. I’m not really sure what section it goes in, though, as it technically fits into all four. But there you go. It’s in this one. Damn good hosts they are, too. Damn good.
Macromedia, who made Flash and Dreamweaver, both of which are thoroughly excellent and I used extensively on this site until I graduated into just using Notepad++.
Icon Empire, which I used to make the favicons for this site, and is easily the best icon editor I’ve ever used.
Comic Genesis, who hosted Apathy until I moved it here for no particular reason.
