I am being inexpertly censored!
March 7th, 2009I have just been hilariously banned from commenting on the homeopathy blog ‘homeopathy4health’ after this discussion. Why?
Andrew’s comments are no longer allowed on this blog. This is because he has a tendency to write opinions based on logic and not from experience or facts. He is a programmer by profession.
Dammit, I do have a tendancy to write opinions based on logic. Oh, she really nailed me there. ‘Zing’, I should think, and probably even ‘oh, snap’. And so forth. Feel free to visualise Jon Stewart-style gesturing if it helps.
Goodbye, then, anonymous homeopath. Live long and prosper.

Well at least we can be glad in knowing what she writes isn’t based on logic. In one sentece, she’s single-handedly voided all her arguments, past, present and future.
Maybe evil overlord fits her best. “I grow tired of your insolence. Dispose of him at once!”

Using logic? Shame on you!
They just can’t stand the heat.

Heh – anecdata over logic. How surprising.

I say, this is jolly… Regular lackey ‘ez’ has arrived to say clever things like
And
Wait, hang on, no. I have no direct personal experience of the wide-scale application of any form of medicine, other than being on the receiving end of antibiotics and stitches from time to time. My knowledge of such things comes from reading – that doesn’t count to them because they have the junior-school-history-lesson mentality of treasuring experience above all other forms of knowledge, and experience wouldn’t count either because it’s ‘anecdote’. Let us further mention that whoever homeopathy4health is, she demonstrably can’t critically evaluate a scientific paper even in her own area of supposed expertise. If we’re having a conversation with the ignorant removed then it will likely be very short.
And
This is just surreal. I don’t know anyone who genuinely believes this. Some people think organic food is a bit better, but I thought by now we’d all agreed that quality of product was the single weakest argument for organic farming other than ‘Rocks are heavy therefore organic farming’.

We are saddened to announce the demise of the last shred of h4h’s credibility. It passed away quietly after a long illness. Donations should be sent to the Campaign For The Extraction of h4h’s Foot from h4h’s Mouth.

That logic comment was hilarious. Poor h4h. But I’m also worried that I’ve blown any credibility I had with the homeopaths in my support for teh evil GM.

This statement is so hilariously funny, especially coming from a so-called medical expert, that I had to read it again to make sure that I hadn`t completely misunderstood what she was saying!! Well, we all know what she means by “experience and “facts”, don`t we? Homeopathy might be so much unsubstantiated, unscientific mumbo-jumbo, but if thousands of adherents state that it has “helped” them, who can argue with that? Never mind clinical trials, just ask people what they have “experienced”. This has amazing resonance with the assertions of the religious right in support of THEIR barmy beliefs.

PS The “Paracetamoxy” song by Friz is brilliant, but I have no idea how to tell him this!!

Well, I didn’t write it. Amateur Tranplants did. Go check them out.

Well, that’s my illusions shattered.

I had my suspicions, but I didn`t like to ask?!!!!

You`ve no doubt read about Prince Charles and his ludicrous “Detox Tincture” (only ten pounds a bottle!!). I have no problems with herbal or other supplements, if they have been proved safe and effective, but I`m afraid as soon as I hear the word “detox” my eyes roll heavenward in exasperation. I have a most effective method of “eliminating toxins” from my own body, which I will not expand upon here, but if anyone would like further details please feel free to ask!!!

I’m not so sure if you’re a fan of non-sequiturs or just the most polite spammer I’ve ever seen

Thanks Friz – the Amateur Transplants are certainly very talented and witty, but I think you should acknowledge your sources!!!
