Diary Cartoons 1

April 1st, 2008

My diary at work is, perhaps predictably, full of little doodles and cartoons. Here are four in no particular order from the first quarter of this year. They’re my favourite four that I think people outside my office will understand. Well, some people outside my office.

I do agree with the third one. Golly, I do.

Except, doing a Performance course, you get the example of “And when was there a scene portraying confusion and emotion. Anybody? Can anybody tell me?”

The lecturer isn’t happy until we quote an episode of some soap he’s written.

    Luckily, he’s only written one.

That time in Eastenders when Sonia had a baby but she didn’t realise she was pregnant.

Yeah, I didn’t watch it either. But it’s good to quote from if you want to pass my course.

    *dies a little inside*

What on earth is “dental anxiety” supposed to be?

  3. Gravatar Andrew Says:

It’s when your teeth are scared.

Or, it’s when you’re nervous about going to the dentist. Both fine options; pick one you like.

The Sonia has an unnoticed pregnancy was possibly the worst story line ever thought up in the history of anything. There is absolutely no way the woman would go through months of morning sickness without going to the doctors. It was stupid.

He won an award for it.

  6. Gravatar Andrew Says:

Was this his way of making sure he left a mark on the show? “I’m only writing one episode… what can I do to screw with the next guy? I know! I’ll introduce a baby from nowhere!”

What award was it? Was it given by members of his class?

  7. Gravatar Friz Says:

He wrote for the show for two years. Say what you will, I was very impressed.

I didn’t even know Eastenders *had* writers.
