More Henchmen
April 1st, 2007Here, for the benefit of anyone who had already seen the last batch of Henchmen comics (which I’d posted here in January) are two new strips. Luckily I have found a much faster way to produce them which gives almost exactly the same result, so with any luck I might actually draw some of the other scripts I have stored on my Google Notebook soon.

The Health and Danger policy is quickly becoming my favorite bit of the series.
I don’t much like the look of the Evil Boss though. I was hoping he’d be some kind of mysterious / evil / powerful looking person. Heck, you could easily knock out a bunch of you-never-see-the-evil-guy jokes. Yours just looks rather… normal.

Oh, I don’t like characters you never see. They seem like something of a comic liability. They’re funny for a while, but they invariably seem to cause big problems when you realise you have a great idea but can’t make it work well without showing the mystery character.

Ok, so he just doesn’t seem evil. Though then again, I’m not surprised.
By the way, the colouring of the girl’s hair seems to consist of random shades of black (well, near black), specially in the last frame. You might wanna watch your monitor settings. Or something.

Yeah, my monitor sucks. I’ll contrast stretch the scans a bit more in future.

By the by, the navigation bars on the right tend to cover a portion of the comics. I imagine this isn’t an issue with people who have staggeringly high resolutions, but even with my Google Sidebar gone I can’t see them all. I think you should find some clever way around this.
